i arrived at the rehearsal for one of my best friend's wedding a little early and decided to enjoy a glass of wine and reflect a little. since she decided to get married at the same location as mike and i this moment of quiet offered a great opportunity for me to remember that wonderful day nearly two years ago.
i chose the exact same chair and table that mike and i sat at right before our rehearsal began and looked out on the ocean with a smile on my face. unlike the last time, i had no butterflies in my stomach, no anticipation for what was to come or fear that someone would show up late. this time around, i got to play a minor role in someone else's big day and let me tell you, it was my pleasure!
