i took a nap in the most comfy chair today with a nearly perfect bedmate. it was facing the wall of open glass doors at my parents house overlooking the pacific ocean. the sun was shining brilliantly and a light breeze blew on my face. bella (my parents’ maltese) lazily dozed at the top of the chair near my head. at one point, i opened my eyes slightly and she was looking back at me.
and in that moment, i knew we were thinking the same thing.
