one of my favorite days at work each year is memory walk. one of my favorite parts of memory walk? our remembrance ceremony. it’s a chance for everyone to come together and remember someone they lost to alzheimer’s disease or honor someone still battling it.
i don’t know why but i’m always amazed to see those candles (or flashlights) light up in unison. seeing a group of people together in one place with nothing in common other than the fact that they’ve all been touched by this insidious disease is startling. and inspiring.
