i met a woman who shared the most incredible story with me. she was celebrating her first "vacation" since her husband concluded treatment for sinus cancer.

i mean, seriously...who gets sinus cancer?

in any case, he is a relatively young man who'd been living with a deviated septum for some time (unrelated to the cancer). when he went in to have it surgically corrected, he developed an infection that didn't heal and led the doctors to investigate further. turns out, he had cancer in half of his face and was only months away from seeing it spread to his eyes and brain.

no symptoms other than the unhealed infection. had he never had that surgery for the deviated septum, he never would've received diagnosis early enough to receive the proper treatment.

god works in mysterious ways, i tell ya!
